Traineeship Accelerate

In a world where software is becoming increasingly more important, you will need experienced, skilled professionals in your organisation who can lead the organisation towards the future. Instead of fishing in the pond everyone in our field is at, it is wise to look closer to home…… within your own organisation, that is, and Luminis can help you with this through our Accelerate traineeship.

Accelerate, what does it entail?

Accelerate is a tailor-made traineeship for top talents within large organisations. With the central themes empathy, craftsmanship and entrepreneurship, the development of your employees is given a boost of about four to five years within an eighteen month period. The traineeship consists of a number of blocks in which the central themes will be focussed on intensively. The unique composition of several organisations that participate in these sessions makes it possible to illuminate the field from different sides, to conduct intensive discussions and to look outside the scope of your own organisation.

Program

You invest in the future of your organisation by training the talents within the organisation to become the leaders of tomorrow. This process is not without obligation, but upon successful completion, provides the opportunity to take on more responsible roles. The pillars of empathy, craftsmanship and entrepreneurship are discussed during sessions on architecture, various in-depth technical sessions, communication and presentation techniques, stakeholder management, leadership, personal branding etc. These sessions will be held in an in-company team at an external location (or online).

  • Cybersecurity, Cryptography, Identity & Access Management, OWASP Top 10
  • Containers, Container Orchestration and Service Meshes
  • Cloud Native Applications
  • Software and Scheme Evolution
  • Functional Programming

During the soft skills training we work on the following topics:

  • Communication styles
  • Personal leadership and effectiveness
  • Leading yourself and others (leadership best practices)

In addition to technical sessions and soft skills training, various other training courses and workshops are organised.

Target audience

This traineeship is interesting for highly motivated, talented participants with at least 5 years of relevant work experience (mediors and seniors) who want to be brought to the of the organisation within a year and a half. They are willing to invest their own time as well as company time (60/40%).

Participation is not without obligation. By means of a portfolio system, participants must show sufficient progress to be able to succeed, and reach the end of the Accelerate traineeship. The process is guided by coaches from within and outside the organisation.
