Software Engineer

Luminis Technologies is a subsidiary of Luminis that provides both products and services based on cloud technology. As a software engineer you will be responsible for implementation of new features of our product MediGrid.

MediGrid is an innovative platform for the storage, consolidation, analysis and reuse of medical data. There is a lot of interest in MediGrid, so because of the continuous development of the product and the various projects, we are looking for an engineer who, together with the team, improves the product by adding new features or improving the quality of the product.

What are examples of your activities?

  • You develop new features and coordinate them with others
  • You take code quality to a higher level through smart improvements and optimisations
  • You conduct code reviews
  • You test new or modified functionalities
  • You think along in projects and give solicited and unsolicited advice to colleagues
  • You regularly share acquired knowledge through presentations, knowledge sessions or blogs


  • BSc/ MSc in computer science or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Java software engineer
  • Knowledge of the following technologies / tools: Java, NoSQL (Kafka, ElasticSearch, MongoDB), Service Oriented Architectures, Typescript, Angular, Event sourcing, CQRS, Docker, AWS and Azure. If you don’t have all this knowledge yet, you are willing to delve into it
  • Experience with design and implementation of domain specific languages. Knowledge of ANTLR4 is an advantage
  • Fluid in English, Dutch speaking is preferred (but no must). You must live in The Netherlands and have a valid working visum.
