COVID-19 and applying for a job at Luminis

At Luminis, 200 professionals work on high-quality IT solutions for our customers. In order to do this properly we work together and share knowledge with colleagues and customers. Although we were already working online quite often, it still took some getting used to not seeing each other physically. We take current developments very seriously and are always adapting. This means it impacts our application process as well. For sure! All vacancies on our website are current, and you can always apply if you find one you think is suitable for you. Here you will find a list with all our job opportunities.
 

Which consequences does Luminis experience from COVID-19?

We had to adapt as a company to the new rules and regulations. Our employees mainly work from home, but also visit the office from time to time. Fortunately, Luminis is doing well on the customer and market side. In some sectors, we see a decrease in projects, but in others a significant increase. All in all, we are fortunately financially healthy and are therefore still looking for new employees!
 

What does the application process look like during COVID-19?

We generally schedule 3 interviews at our office or another physical location: an introductory meeting, a technical interview and one to talk about the conditions of employment. This is still the case today, but we try to be flexible in terms of where and when these interviews take place. We discuss options with each applicant and facilitate interviews online as well as offline. We like to take everyone’s wishes into account and will be as flexible as possible during the process. What guidelines do you adhere in terms of COVID-19?

We apply the guidelines set by the RIVM (National Institute for Publich Health and the Environment). Our colleagues often work from home, and when they do work at the office, we make sure everyone can keep their distance from each other. Furthermore there are multiple places where you can disinfect and wash your hands, and desks are only used if the advised distance of 1,5 meters can be kept. Of course these guidelines are also followed during the interviews when you apply for a job at Luminis.
 

Which other measures are being taken by Luminis?

Fortunately, we have access to modern cloud-based workplaces, which allowed us to work and consult remotely from day 1. We have also found great online solutions for creative processes and social events. We find it of the utmost importance to keep a lot of direct contact with colleagues, which can be facilitated online as well as occasionally seeing each other physically.
