Bookspot

Bookspot lives for, you guessed it, Books. Because, as Bookspot itself says: what could be better than a book?

Bookspot is an online webshop for Books. The goal of the webshop is to provide the best experience after a physical bookstore. To get this done, a lot of work is being done on the website. An important part of this website is the search functionality.

The full search experience

Luminis has been responsible for two search engines.

The first is used by Bookspot employees while managing product-related content. This component consists of an API, a management component and an elastic search cluster. Luminis has fully designed and built this component. The second search engine is based on Solr and integrated in Intershop. In addition to helping with the technical implementation, Luminis is also involved in designing the full search experience. By working well together with the User Experience people, the intershop specialists and the front-end developers, we ensure the best possible experience for the users.
