Service design
Design is an important factor in our visually-oriented world. The right design captures people’s attention and increases a product’s ease of use. Combining your business vision with the right design can also widen the range of customers you can attract. Luminis has the right experts to help you take the next step.
For specific products, Luminis offers UX design. To design new services or gain greater insight into how users navigate several services from the same company, we have service design.

Service design as a service
In most markets, products are a commodity. To take the next step, it’s necessary to develop services swiftly and anticipate change. In this rapidly changing world however, the service might already be out of date by the time it’s finished.
That’s why Luminis offers service design as a service. This is a method to solve a problem through a quick process of developing and testing. The problem itself is put at the centre, the developers don’t have an end product in mind yet when they start. It’s a holistic approach, involving stakeholders from all departments.
An important advantage of service design is that it prevents you’ll end up with a product that’s out of date, as the process is quick and ever evolving. The interaction between your company and your customers is put at the centre of the solution. This way of thinking also offers the possibility to carry out radical changes in small steps.
Customer Stories
UX design
UX design focuses on the user’s experience. This discipline involves expertises such as designing graphic user interfaces (both visual and interaction design), concept development and user research.
Luminis uses the Intensive Design Method for concept development. This method is set up to inspire you about what the next step in your business can be. We complete the design in two steps: the first step lasts one day, the second about ten. Step 1 involves exploring the customer’s business and the issue at hand. A prototype of a solution is made. During step 2, this prototype is tested, users are asked for feedback and the visual design is initiated. This results in a final prototype.
This quick approach requires flexibility and the ability to grasp complex issues fast.
Luminis has a diverse client base, this means we can easily adapt to new industries.
The advantages of our approach are:
- You have maximum control over the direction and result of the design process
- Results are resilient and have already been tested on end users
- Better collaboration and handover
- Lower costs because of the efficient approach and intensive collaboration.
