I was planning on writing an extensive Soundbyte about all kinds cool stuff that kept me busy lately. I was working on a mix about game theory, zero trust, taking on new challenges and cloud computing.
But then I saw this post by Jessie Frazelle, an awesome engineer I’ve been following on Twitter & Github for quite some time. I hope you read it and read it carefully.
I wrote a blog post on what I think it means to be a distinguished engineer or technical fellow.https://t.co/agq1eh4nc7

It made me realise that I’m still coming up short on some criteria, but lets call it work in progress 🙂 And I appear to be in good company…
Jessie, this is spot on. You describe all the things I aspire to be and do.

These words speak for themselves but to match them with music I need to fall back to my goto music for a late night drive home: Jazz by Miles Davis. Jazz is about shared leadership, collaboration, improvisation and serving the music…:
Enjoy and don’t forget to have fun!
Arjan, may I challenge you to finish that article and publish it here when you’re done. No need to stick with the program in terms of waiting until your next turn to write a soundbyte. I for one am very curious what’s cooking in your brain!
Nice one Arjan, and very nice of you to give Jezzie the stage, she’s awesome. Have a nice and fun week!
